Introducing TWC’s Executive Director: Gina Caronna
Gina Caronna was unanimously voted in as the new Executive Director, effective April 1, 2022 by The Workforce Connection (TWC) Board and Chief Elected Officials. Gina brings to TWC her extensive experience at the intersection of higher education and workforce development, leading several talent pipeline initiatives for the region and growing high demand technical programs.
The Workforce Connection Provides Customized Solutions to Individuals Laid-Off from Stellantis and Their Suppliers
With the layoffs at Stellantis and their supplier companies, The Workforce Connection has worked with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO), the State of Illinois, and the Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES) to certify the layoffs as “Trade events”, providing additional benefits to the individuals affected.
The Workforce Connection Receives Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Community Partner Award from Rock Valley College
The Workforce Connection (TWC) was nominated and awarded as a community partner for “incorporat(ing) DEI within their mission and practices. They have a proven track record of partnering with RVC to identify barriers and create access and opportunities for all students. They are a key partner as we look at connecting with other organizations to spread the word about access and opportunity at RVC”.
