Northern Illinois University’s “The Graduate School” celebrated the outstanding accomplishments of NIU’s graduate students on Tuesday, April 25, 2023. Dr. Gina Caronna, The Workforce Connection’s Executive Director, was a recipient of this year’s Outstanding Graduate Student Award. In part her nomination stated; “Gina works with students, educational institutions, regional employers and others to support community building, student success and economic growth. Her independent research on Illinois educational legislation supports more equitable access to higher education, especially in the area of developmental education.”
