Derek participated in The Workforce Connection’s Elevate Program and is a recent graduate of Harlem High School. He aspires to become an Advanced Auto Technician and completed his work experience at Tuffy Auto Repair.
During the 14 weeks of the paid internship, he gained experience in performing standard maintenance on both foreign and domestic vehicles.
Derek’s supervisor, Jim Heim, commented on his ambition, dependability, and quick learning ability, stating that he was a great team member. Derek expressed his gratefulness for The Workforce Connection.
