The Position: Have a knack for solving problems and love working with people? We are looking for a strong leader to manage the warehouse operations in our Romulus, MI location.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
As an Operations Manager, you will have full responsibility for all Branch Operations, reporting directly to the Regional VP. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, have excellent communication skills and a strong desire to thrive in a fast-paced team environment. This position is for a hands-on, take-charge individual that can satisfy the administrative & physical aspects of the role while directing teams in the warehouse and on Job sites. Additionally, we require a minimum of 1 year of previous Special Event, Tradeshow, or Party Rental distribution center environment experience.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage team members inside our warehouse including: Picking orders and processing them for delivery (inspect furniture to see that it is in good rental condition prior to loading on our trucks).
Inspecting and triaging furniture that is returned from rental to ensure that it is in rental ready condition before placing it in our rental ready area.
Manage drivers that deliver furniture to customer locations.
Work onsite at delivery locations with teams while managing the delivery and installation process.
Interact with customers onsite to ensure our teams are placing furniture in their designated areas.
Implementation, compliance, and management of OSHA and Safety Program.
Scheduling of manpower according to the workload.
Inspect quality of product in Triage and that Assist with the coordination of outbound/inbound orders and all related inter-station communication.
Manage overtime and temporary employees labor according to the budget and workload.
Manage and track all warehouse expenses.
Monitor / Create transfers and ensure they are pulled/prepped in a timely manner in communication with Warehouse Managers.
Shuttle scheduling.
Route trucks for the next day’s deliveries / pick-up.
Inspect quality of product in triage and those pulled orders.
Participate in Sales and Operations calls.
Manage Performance Reviews, Time-off and Vacation time for all warehouse staff.
