Logistics Coordinator

Summary
Processes shipping and receiving documents. Performs data entry for receipts tracking, price adjustments, and labor entry. Coordinates arrangements for pick-ups by multiple carriers and primary scheduler for less than a truckload (LTL).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Processes shipping and receiving documents.
2. Performs data entry using word processing, database commands and formats material as required. This includes receipts tracking, assisting with price adjustments, labor entry for union personnel, time clock data maintenance, and attendance/tardies for union personnel.
3. Reviews discrepancies in data received; requests clarification or advises supervisor of issues related to data and performs data verification routines in accordance with company procedures.
4. Responsible to make arrangements for pick-up by the carrier specified on the order write-up.
5. Scan and electronically file shipping documents and quality control sheets in EDMS.
6. Support the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.
7. Schedule RMA pick ups with LTL trucking firms and small package carriers.
8. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
9. Maintain LTL Carriers used in shipping parts orders, reviews performance and communicates our needs to account executives.
10. Backup Supervisor of Operations when they are out of the office.
11. Backup Receivers and Inspector / Stockroom employees for processing orders.
12. Interacts with departmental and other staff on matters affecting data and publications flow and makes recommendations for improvement or enhancement to job processes to ensure standards in data entry, collection and retrieval.
knowledge, skills and abilities
Proficient typing skills and ability to operate personal computer, copy, fax, and mailing machines. Must be a problem solver and detail oriented.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Exposed to odor, noise, dust, heat, cold, chemicals and other elements with two or more continuously present to the extent of being disagreeable.
Minimum qualifications
Equivalent to high school diploma plus a minimum of 2 years of related training and experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Pay: $25.96 – $36.35 per hour
