Program Overview:
The Regional Office of Education serves as an advocate for educational communities in Boone and Winnebago Counties, providing educational services and leadership to support schools in achieving their goals.
Position Summary:
The Grant Manager is responsible for overseeing grant-funded programs, including managing a portfolio of grants, ensuring compliance with grant requirements, reporting on program outcomes, and seeking new funding opportunities. The role involves providing leadership and support to staff managing grant programs, ensuring proper data collection, and maintaining accurate financial oversight.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Leadership or related field preferred.
Experience: 1-3 years in grant management or program administration.

Creative problem-solving with the ability to develop innovative solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Major Responsibilities:Grant Management:
Oversee all grant-funded projects, monitoring progress and evaluating outcomes to ensure success.
Track and monitor grant deliverables and timelines.
Collect and organize data for grant tracking and reporting.
Research and Funding:
Identify and research new grant funding opportunities aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and goals.
Work with grantors to secure and maintain ongoing grant funding.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with grant policies, providing training and resources to staff on appropriate use of funds.
Monitor account balances for grant-funded programs and prepare timely financial and program reports.
Ensure timely submission of required local, state, and federal reports.
Program Evaluation and Development:
Develop and refine grant programs to align with the strategic goals of the organization.
Evaluate the effectiveness of grant programs and recommend improvements.
Create, supervise, monitor, and evaluate documentation for grant-funded projects to ensure compliance with deliverables, rules, and laws.
Collaboration and Communication:
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community partners, and others.
Meet regularly with the Regional Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent to provide updates on tasks and projects.
Participate in the ROE leadership team as needed.
Other Duties:
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with flexibility as approved by the Regional Superintendent.
Contract Type: 220-day contract (position requires 220 workdays spread throughout the calendar year, not limited to a single year)
Work from Home: Eligible to follow the office’s work-from-home policy as outlined in the manual.
Work Environment: This position may require unconventional hours and can become fast-paced and high-stress based on workload and deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
