The City of Freeport, IL is looking for a full-time Program Compliance Oversite Monitor.  Under the direction of the Community Development Director, the Program Compliance Oversite Monitor (PCOM) performs a wide range of professional and administrative duties in support of the City and County public transit programs.  Additionally, this position will support the Pretzel City Area Transit (PCAT) program.  PCAT is a state and federally grant-funded program that serves as a demand-response system for Stephenson County, Illinois.

This position will be responsible for monitoring and overseeing the program, which provides transportation and dispatch services through a third-party operator and utilizes leased transportation vehicles owned by the City of Freeport. Oversight of PCT includes all grant management responsibilities, as well as monitoring performance, maintenance of facilities, driver training, and service contracts, among other duties as assigned or required.

The qualified candidate will possess an Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university in business or public administration, transportation planning or related field required; Bachelor Degree preferred.  Minimum three (3) years’ experience performing transit administrative/compliance work; Knowledge in the related field and/or additional compliance or grant writing certification/coursework.  Candidates with a combination of related education and experience will also be considered.

The starting salary range for this exempt, salaried position is $50,000-$55,000 annually, DOQ, with an excellent benefit package that includes health, dental and vision insurance, plus an IMRF pension.  Please email a cover letter and resume to the Human Resource Manager at  Resumes will be accepted until position is filled.
