POSITION PROFILE: Working with our business services team, this position is a project specialist to lead a quality job manufacturing project. The project specialist will work closely with a manufacturing company and their employees to document and detail quality jobs benefits. The project specialist will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project, from planning and execution to monitoring, evaluation and reporting. This position will also be working directly with community business members and the One Stop Business Services Team.

• 5 – 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required. Experience with education or training for manufacturing floor or line positions strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, quality assurance principles, and industry best practices.
• Solid understanding of the benefits of apprenticeship models and their application to business and industry.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; capable of engendering trust from customers.

Basic Skills: Active learning, active listening, critical thinking, basic math to include adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, reading comprehension, speaking, writing.
Social Skills: Coordination, instructing, negotiation, persuasion, service orientation, social perceptiveness.

Resource Management Skills: Time management. Desktop Computer Skills: Spreadsheets, presentations, internet navigation, word processing. Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
Ability to utilize computer software, Windows application, and perform word processing, spreadsheet and presentation functions.
• Knowledge of Registered Federal Apprenticeship rules and regulations

• Self-starter with initiative and who is motivated, flexible and adaptable to change
• Good organizational with attention to details and accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of people

• Must have a valid state driver’s license and maintain the minimum state required insurance levels on the vehicle at all time.
