Performs visual inspection, weigh counting, and packaging of plastic parts. Maintains supply of raw material to injection molding floor, WIP inventory management, and provides a variety of routine support for production and the operation of injection molding machines. Adheres to all plant and OSHA safety policies and regulations.

Duties/Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain and move parts from injection molding machines to weigh scales as they are being produced to avoid overflow of WIP containers.
Identifies and verifies parts and counts.
Visually inspects product for common defects to ensure quality parts are being counted in compliance with specified Quality requirements.
Alerts shift Mold Technician of machine malfunction or scrap quantity issues.
Cut off runners with hand gate cutters or band saws and inspect work to ensure finished parts meet specifications.
Enters information on log sheets such as in-process books as quality checks are made to ensure product consistency and conformity to quality standards.
Understands production records and is able to keep accurate counts over the course of a shift of accepted, rejected, and scrap product as noted on shift report forms.
Unloads, moves, and loads materials into bins, dryers, and pan drying oven.
Stores and stacks materials according to company standards and completes move tickets as required.
Reports inventory shortages and recommending new orders as necessary.
Identifies and removes damaged materials from stock with QA assistance.
Cleans, checks, and sets up material dryers, feeders, and/or loaders as required.
Moves WIP and finished goods to specified staging areas as required.
Processes manufactured parts per job instructions, pack verified amounts, and label appropriately.
Constructs boxes for packing at assigned machine as required.
Lifts and carries boxes (up to 50 lbs.) to pallets for removal to shipping or storage. On occasion may use pallet jack to move pallets of boxes or totes.
Responsible for keeping the assigned work area well organized, clean, and neat.
Maintains effective working relationships with other coworkers

High School Diploma or GED.
0.5 – 1 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Injection Molding experience highly preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude, analytical mindset, reasoning abilities and problem-solving skills.
Experience operating riding forklifts.
Successful completion of “Fundamentals of Injection Molding” Paulson Training during onboarding.
Successful completion of “Technology of Injection Molding – Level 1” Paulson Training during onboarding.
English language proficiency to include verbal and written communication.
Ability to read/write English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and production documentation.
Ability to maintain and understand records and data, as well as complete required documentation.
Ability to work with coworkers in a team environment; team oriented, self-motivated.
Ability to perform basic math calculations.
Continuous mental and visual attention to production and quality of products.
Ability to work overtime as required.
Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand entire shift (8+ hrs.).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Requires manual dexterity.
Moderate physical demand involving lifting and moving of materials and equipment.
Frequently moves from waist level to floor level.
