Community Building Complex of Boone County

The Community Building Complex of Boone County is seeking applicants for a long-term, part time Event/Building Coordinator position.  The Event/Building Coordinator’s role includes effective management of building rentals and basic building operations to ensure both meet the needs of the patrons and groups who use the building.

Additional responsibilities include coordinating rentals, building and office management, enhancing the overall quality of visitors’ experience, attracting new patrons and leading an additional team of part-time staff.  The coordinator should have education, knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas:  event coordination, public relations, building operations, customer service, clerical tasks and marketing.  Skill sets of the coordinator should include being service orientated, a multitasker, energetic, friendly, imaginative, well organized and capable of functioning effectively in an independent environment.   The position also provides operational and administrative support to the Director.

Work hours are flexible day/hour arrangements with a guaranteed minimum 15 to 20 weekday hours in addition to hours on evenings and weekends to provide onsite support at events.  These hours vary based on events scheduled and are also flexible.  Starting wage is $22-24 per hour based on experience and qualifications.  A benefit package is not included for this position.
