Pump Technician

Key Responsibilities:

Overhaul and test centrifugal pumps and other products, including cleaning, disassembly, inspection, reassembly, and testing.
Operate equipment during overhaul such as parts washing machine, bead blasting machine, lathe, jib crane, forklift, and test stand.
Adhere to established procedures for testing and assembly.
Create detailed pump inspection and test reports.
Perform light maintenance activities within the facility.
Provide backup support for production assembly and inspection.
Handle manufacturing orders as assigned by the Operations Manager or Operations Lead.
Communicate issues and continuous improvement ideas with leadership.
Follow management directives and requests.
Attend workshops and training sessions as required.
Travel domestically and internationally (<25%).
Perform other duties and activities as assigned.

Requirements:

Technology degree or 5+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, machine repair centre, or facility/general maintenance.
Experience with wiring electrical motors is a plus but not required.
Experience in pump repair/overhaul is a plus but not required.
Ability to operate a forklift.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical specifications, schematics, drawings, codes, standards, and regulations.
General knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office software, Adobe software, CAD software, and company business system software.
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
