Summary: The Innovative Learning  Specialist provides technical and functional support to the daily and ongoing operations, maintenance, and administration of FHN’s learning management system (LMS) and enterprise learning programs and initiatives. In addition the Specialist supports the Innovative Learning Center with leading project that enhance the development, coordination and presentation of training and development programs for staff.

Job Responsibilities:

•Manage the design, administration, and tracking of FHN learning programs through the learning management system.

•Supports training needs analysis to assess organization-wide training needs, the development of training tools including presentations, manuals, etc. and the evaluation of external training resources and partnerships with vendors to meet scope of training requirements.

• Research current trends in training and development.

•Develop and maintain standard and customized learning data reports and analytics, providing qualitative and quantitative analysis on ad-hoc basis.

•Create and maintain technical and process documentation, including instructions and user guides; provide training to end users, administrators, and others who interact with the LMS

•Build and deploy courses, certificate programs and tests using the LMS and other online course authoring tools.

•Coordinate training logistics for organization-wide training initiatives.

•Conduct training appropriate to skill level including New Hire Onboarding and related programs.

•Responsible for ensuring all learner data and information in the LMS meets regulatory requirements, good documentation practices, and is stored in a manner that can be retrieved quickly and efficiently when needed during daily operations.

•Assist in the identification of critical success factors and design evaluation/assessment tools (e.g. pre/post test) to evaluate the effectiveness of training materials/programs.

•Drive utilization of Learning Management System and E-Learning Systems.

•Assist the Course Directors/Coordinators in the implementation of interdisciplinary course instruction.



•Bachelor’s Degree or higher, required, in Human Resources, Education, Instructional Technology, Communications, or Business or equivalent experiences required. Master’s  degree preferred.

•2-5 years of experience making presentations to groups of five (5) or more.

•2-5 years of experience with training database, system administration, coordination, development, and/or delivery.

•Experience with cloud-based learning technology platforms.

•Experience in the following areas/competencies is advantageous:

◦Training and development/Corporate University

◦Online training/Computer based learning professional.

•Knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools.

•Proficiency and experience in managing data and reporting capabilities required.

•Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced, deadline driven environment with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities in support of changing organization objectives.

•Strong analytical and problem solving capability, with an orientation towards continuous process improvement.

•Professional verbal and written communications skills with exceptional telephone and email etiquette.

•Demonstrated track record of success within the Training and Development field. Precise follow-up and attention to detail.

•Team oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

•Relationship building, partnering, and networking people skills.

•Strong conceptual, creative, and quantitative skills are required to work in project management environment.

•Serves as a role model for FHN’s standards.

•Computer skills:◦Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

◦High proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, preferred.

◦Skilled at conducting internet research related to learning programs and initiatives.
