Job Summary: This role encompasses multi-disciplinary levels within the Revenue Cycle. The individual that maintain these positions have a minimum of 5-8 years of Revenue Cycle field experience positioning them to specialize in high level Accounts Receivables and Customer Service through-put.
This position is responsible for all Customer Service interactions. This includes educating patients on FHN’s financial assistance program, other funding sources, payment plan options, and prompt pay discounts ultimately handling all written, telephonic, and face to face interactions ensuring our patients’ satisfaction.
The PAR IV position also entails responsibility for ensuring the accurate and timely entry of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-9 codes for the physician billing platform. This includes executing quality edits that position FHN for more compliant billing (i.e. unbundling, National Correct Coding Initiatives NCCI, etc.).
The in-depth field knowledge allows this level of talent to review and initiate the highest level claims appeals.
All of these responsibilities culminate in the top tier of Revenue Cycle and are considered the most tactical and analytical.
Education/Experience: Associates Degree or Equivalent years of related experience. Specialized courses, certifications, or training, specify – medical terminology, managed care structures and/or contracting, coding certificate, insurance certificates, specialized customer service training or courses. 5-8 years experience. HFMA CRCR (Certified Revenue Cycle Representative).
