Job Summary:  Works collaboratively and proactively with Business Operations Leaders to ensure all new ambulatory patient service representatives (PSRs) are provided with detailed orientation.  Provides support to all PSRs through continuing education and training (co-pays, referrals, insurance verification, phone etiquette, No Surprise Act patient quotes, appointment reminder calls, insurance denial follow-up and other job related duties as assigned).  Maintains quality and office practice metrics through monitoring of reports and completion of annual competencies.  Incorporates a positive team approach to serve as a liaison between patients and clinical support staff.  Familiar with the office operations including scheduling, registration, coding, medical records and collection.  Key public relations position which involves dealing with patient’s needs and concerns.

 

Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required with 2-5 year of prior field-related and other job-related experience.

Able to hand multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
Excellent organization and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Displays evidence of strong customer services skills
Displays a working knowledge of medical terminology, coding and insurance preferred
Proficient in the use of computers and basic office equipment utilized by FHN
Must be flexible to the scheduling of work hours to meet the need of FHN which may include cross departmental functions
AED/BLS certification required within one year of employment
