Physical Therapist Assistant

Job Summary:  The Physical Therapy Assistant, under the direction of a Physical Therapist, implements Physical Therapy treatment programs to facilitate patients’ maximum functional level of independence. Physical Therapy services include, but are not limited to: muscle strengthening and balance exercises, gait safety awareness and endurance training, application of physical agents, neuromuscular reeducation, postural control and sensorimotor training, pain management and mobilizations.

Education/Experience:  Associates of Applied Science in Physical Therapy.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:  Current BLS; current license or board eligible as a licensed physical therapist assistant, in the state of Illinois.
