Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
– Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance
– Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
– Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
– Interpret financial reports to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
– Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions
– Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
-Preparation of income tax returns (1040, 1041, 1120, 1120S, 1065)
Skills:
– Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
– Proficiency in financial statement preparation and analysis
– Experience with account reconciliation and financial report interpretation
– Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements
– Previous experience in public accounting or related field is preferred
– Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis
– Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
– Proficient in using Adobe, accounting software (Thomson Reuters, Quickbooks, etc) and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
– Knowledge of technical accounting standards is a plus
– Familiarity with payroll processes and financial services is an advantage
