Goodwill Industries of Northern Illinois is seeking a part-time Job Coach. This role is responsible for assisting participants with barriers with training, case management, and support while performing work in Goodwill’s retail store locations. Cultivates partnerships and relationships with employers and service agencies in the local communities serviced by Goodwill to best serve participants. Assists with meeting program goals and outcomes, while also ensuring personal growth for program participants within the work environment.  Works closely with Mission Manager to accomplish program goals.

Schedule: Thursday 11am -5:30pm, Friday 11am – 7:30pm, Saturday  12-6:30pm, Sunday 9am-5:30pm

Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

Work with individuals with disabilities to coach and motivate to perform work successfully.
Meet with transitional program participants weekly and assist with finding employment through job development activities.
Instruct participants in job seeking and job retention skills.
Create effective solutions and accommodations for individuals with barriers to employment.
Develop, implement, and monitor Individual Employment Plans (IEP) by establishing appropriate goals.
Coach participants, including modeling work and motivating.
Prepare work stations for daily work activities.
Work proactively with retail store staff and ensure outcomes match with retail goals.
Perform work assigned to participants.  Manage work assigned to participants and assist if needed.
Create and manage detailed case notes in the ETO database, ensuring all data is maintained in a timely manner.
Responsible for enforcing program guidelines and following policies.
Communicate effectively with partnering agencies.
Build and maintain employer relationships.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Basic Job Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required, higher education preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with disabilities and understand and communicate with diverse groups. Three to five years of experience preferred.
Ability to motivate and assist individuals in performing work.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Certificates/Licensing:

Must have a current driver’s license and reliable vehicle with insurance coverage.
Ability to maintain First Aid and CPR certification
Compensation: $17-19/hour
