NURSING INSTRUCTOR

Highland Community College, a small and vibrant community college in the northwest corner of Illinois, within driving distance of Chicago and Madison, Wisconsin is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure track instructor to teach clinical and lecture courses beginning the Fall 2023 semester. This is a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track position, with the tenure decision in three years. Experience in pediatrics and adult patient care required, with prior curriculum development a plus. This position will teach approximately 15 contact hours each semester (fall & spring sections), with the possibility of teaching assignments online and/or in evening; and fulfill other duties included in a full-time faculty position to include assessment, committee participation and curriculum review. This position includes the opportunity to teach within our Medical Assistant program.

A Registered Nurse with a Master’s degree in Nursing is required. Experience in simulation, use of technology, and previous instruction is preferred.  Must be licensed in the State of Illinois or eligible for licensure.
