Truck Driver


· Responsible for food safety and quality

· Plan trip logistics and obtain necessary documents to transport goods

· Communicate with Logistics Manager and Warehouse Manager

· Load and unload cargo

· Ensure cargo is secured properly

· Follow safety procedures for transporting goods

· Perform pre-trip, en route and post inspection of vehicle

· Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled

· Manage bills of lading

· Maintain log books

· Follow rules, laws and regulations

· Report mechanical problems to managers

· Keep truck and associated equipment in tidy working order

· Responsible for reporting food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.

· Other truck drivers will cover in absence

Routes and Expectations:

· OTR Bi-weekly / Local Bi-weekly

o OTR – Texas: Houston

o Local: Chicago, Wisconsin, Rural NW Illinois

Skills, Specifications and Competencies:

· Some knowledge of how to maintain a truck, in case it breaks down in the middle of nowhere

· Must be punctual and follow the schedule in order to transport the merchandise on time

Education and Qualifications:

· High school diploma

· Commercial Drivers License with a clean driving record. (Hazmat not required)

· Ability to meet DOT requirements

· This position is subject to random drug testing.
