RAMP is seeking a Development Support Specialist to join our team! The ideal candidate for this role is an organized, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines. They should have prior experience supporting fundraising events and donor relations, and demonstrating discretion in handling sensitive information. Proficiency in Office 365 and donor database systems is preferred, along with a strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A passion for supporting community initiatives, particularly those aligned with the Independent Living Philosophy will make this candidate stand out. Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.

Job Location: Position is based out of Rockford RAMP office; hybrid remote work option.

Starting salary range – based on experience: $18 – $20/hour, 20-24 hours per week

Purpose of Position: The purpose of this position is to provide comprehensive event and administrative support across multiple fundraising initiatives. Responsibilities include assisting in event logistics, sponsor tracking, donation collection and communication, assisting in ensuring smooth execution of fundraising events, receipting donations in a timely manner, and executing mailings efficiently.

Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Development Associate.

Position location: Rockford office, with hybrid work opportunity after successful on-boarding.

Primary Responsibilities
Event and Campaign SupportAssist in coordinating event logistics, including permits, purchase orders, supplies, and day-of tasks like setup and cleanup
Manage ticket sales, payments, donations, and sponsor lists
Assist with event-specific activities such as registration, signage, name tags, and volunteer materials
Handle auction donations, process receipts, and track contributions
Prepare fundraising reports to help the development team track progress toward goals and analyze donor data

Donor and Administrative SupportMaintain accurate donor records, update information, and generate donation reports in the database
Prepare and send personalized thank-you letters to donors
Manage the assembly and distribution of campaign mailings using USPS bulk permit

Required Skills/AbilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills
High level of organization and attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining multiple deadlines
Ability to work autonomously and in a team, solve problems, and actively seek assistance when needed
Discretion and confidentiality with respect to donor and prospect records
Good team working skills

Minimum QualificationsAssociate Degree or minimum of two years administrative experience supporting a development office preferred
Experience with donor database systems and online giving/auction software, a plus
Experience with Office 365 Apps, especially Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Reliable transportation and a willingness to work some evening and weekend hours as needed
Personal experience with a disability is preferred
Strong desire to see the Independent Living Philosophy carried out in the community

Compensation and benefitsPay Range: $18-$20/hour
Payroll Schedule: 26 bi-weekly pay dates, working 20 to 24 hours per week or minimum
