Truck Driving
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Related duties may be assigned.
Teach the classroom portion of the Truck Driver Training Program, including permits, logbooks, and trip planning.
Teach hands-on portion of the Truck Driver Training Program, including backing, shifting, and behind-the-wheel training.
Maintain student files in compliance with ICCB and IL Secretary of State standards.
Maintain Truck Driver Training Program equipment.
Monitor inventory of training supplies.
Evaluate and grade students throughout the program.
Provide maintenance on equipment in emergency situations.
Able to work on-call bases if the enrollment requires.
Regular attendance is expected.
Using tact and courtesy, the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with persons contacted in the course of work.
