The Guest Services Associate must consistently maintain a positive and professional relationship with all residents, guests, and employees. Always meets the needs of customers through the use of appropriate communications techniques. Also, utilizes good organizational skills to handle multiple and competing tasks in a fast-paced environment.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Utilizes appropriate and professional communication techniques when relating to residents, guests, and staff.
Maintains constructive relationships with customers. Demonstrate effectiveness in meeting the customer’s needs.
Answers, transfers and directs incoming calls using a computerized multiple line phone system.
Promptly greets all guests and notifies residents of visitors.
Provides cashier and postal services to residents.
Makes meal reservations for residents and provide necessary information to dining services and other appropriate departments.
Provides photocopying services to residents and staff.
Records resident’s leaving the building for overnight or extended periods of time by maintaining accurate resident location documentation.
Writes up work orders for residents and forward to maintenance on a timely basis.
Performs inputting, updating, maintenance and accuracy checks on a computerized record system for changes in resident information.
Implements emergency procedures when necessary for the protection and safety of our residents, customers, and employees.
Maintain a safe and productive work environment by keeping the office area and lounge clean at all times.
Provides simple clerical tasks as needed.
Maintains a high standard of personal appearance and grooming.
Completes all other assignments as designated by the Customer Service Coordinator.
Order company office supplies.

Minimum Education/Skills/Experience/Credentials:

High school graduate or equivalent required; some college preferred.
Strong organizational skills needed to work in a fast-paced environment. Keyboarding skills of 40 words per minute minimum and computer literacy required.
Good interpersonal relations with proven communication skills, both verbal and written.
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to sit for 6-7 hours during an 8 hour shift.
Must be able to stand and walk for 1-2 hours during an 8 hours shift.
Must be able to frequently lift 10 to 25 pounds while walking or bending at the waist and knees.
Must be able to use wrists, fingers, and hands for operating a computer, utilizing a telephone, writing and grasping.
Other regulated requirements:

Must be willing to undergo pre-employment background check, including (MVR) moving vehicle records.
Must have or be willing to receive the Flu-Shot Vaccine, and TB testing.
Must be willing to undergo pre-employment drug screening.
Must be willing to undergo biometric screening.
