Adelbert recently completed a paid work experience with Winnebago County Housing Authority, where he helped run the cafeteria program and worked the food pantry monthly. After his work experience ended, he continued to volunteer because he enjoys the work. He has now secured employment with Goodwill Industries of Northern Illinois using his skills. When asked about his work experience with The Workforce Connection, he said, “it is a great program, it got me up and moving and helping others.” His advice was to stay with what you are doing and follow rules that are set up to help you learn.
