We are very proud of Marcus for obtaining his Commercial Driver’s License!
Marcus recently stopped into the Career Center to share the exciting news that he had received his Commercial Learner’s Permit. He worked with his Career Planner, Paul, to obtain the payment for his truck driver training at 160 Driving Academy. Marcus has been training in the yard for a couple of weeks and will soon be ready to take his CDL test. Marcus is on his way to a new career. Success Story Update: Marcus stopped in to The Workforce Connection Career Center asking to see his Career Planner, Paul. He passed his tests and has officially earned his Commercial Driver’s License and wanted to celebrate! Marcus worked with his Career Planner, Paul, to attend the CDL course through 160 Driving Academy and completed the training while working a full-time job. He went to truck driver training from 7am-3pm and then worked from 4:00pm to 2:30am every day. It did not leave much time for sleep, but Marcus was determined. “I’m a soldier. I can do this,” he said. Now Marcus can move from being a dock worker to driving a semi-truck with the potential to increase his income. Congratulations, Marcus! We are so proud of you!
