Through a partnership with The Workforce Connection’s Elevate Program and Harlem High School, 10 seniors had the opportunity to complete the Work Experience (WEX) Paid Internships Program in their desired career field.
The students pictured completed paid internships with the following employers:
IMA Automation USA, Inc. – Andrew/Engineering
- Special Olympics – Colby/Sports Analysist
- Ring Container Technologies, LLC – Alex/Manufacturing Engineering
- Embroid This – Risa and Lia /Graphic Designs
- Goodwill Industries of Northern Illinois – Maya/Marketing and Public Relations
- Fidel Realty Group /Keller Williams Realty – Halle/ Real Estate
- Burpee Museum – Tara, Madeline, and Margaret/ Biology/Science

Each student had to complete 60 hours in their internship to pass the class which went towards their graduating credits. All the students successfully achieved this goal and many did more than required! We would like to extend a special thank you to all our employer partners, Harlem High School, and the students!
